We were there for a Dance convention in the Knoxville Convention Center was right across the street. The facilities were clean and the room was spacious. The drawing room had a good varuety of breakfast options. There is a coffee shop inside, where they have fruit amd apple juice as well. The hotel is attached to the Marriott. I liked the toilet area being separated off with a door. The room has a thermostat and a fridge. A nice spacious closet to hang your clothes or to out your bags in. Front desk was polite and attentive. They offer a free shuttle service if you need to get somewhere. It's not an actual shuttle but a big SUV. There is also a free trolley that goes around as well. There is a Subway in the Market Square which is a really cute area with shops and dining and there is also a Wendy's and McDonald's and a Pizza Hut and a Bojangle, probably 4 minutes away driving wise...just over the bridge/water.

We has a very nice room with huge bathroom and giant walk-in shower with bench seat. I love that the toilet had a separate little room with solid door that closed. I appreciate the low-key night lights in the bathroom and toilet room! Also, I love the automatic light that turns on when you open the cabinet that houses the mini fridge and extra blanket, iron, etc. The staff are outstanding! wonderful front desk staff and coffee shop! I got a tasty Mocha there. The shuttle bus drivers to and from our campus tour drop off were excellent. We asked questions about the city and campus. The engineering student who works as a shuttle driver was very nice and we enjoyed talking to him.

The Tennessean is a beautiful hotel near downtown Knoxville. My daughter is a student at UTK and it was walking distance from her dorm but we had a car so used that most of the time. They do charge for parking and only have valet parking. I don't mind paying for parking but would prefer to come and go as we please. The hotel has a very pretty/lobby and restaurant area that appeared to be attached to the Marriot next door. I had a king room. It was very nice with huge windows that looked out to the park. Bed was comfy and it had black out curtains. We were able to walk to Market Square about 4 or 5 blocks up the street. Next time I may trying staying right down town.

Room was very spacious with large windows. The location is perfectly situated been the shops and restaurants of Market Square/Gay St. and the Tennessee campus. Gym is small but had everything you might need - a few treadmills, spin bikes, yoga mats, free weights and a few machines. The staff were all super friendly and really helpful. I had two separate reservations (1 night followed by 2 nights) and they ensured that I could stay in the same room while keeping the receipts/payments separated. I did not use the car service, but that is a nice perk when the weather is not cooperating. Everything was very clean.

Nicest physical room I've ever stayed in in a hotel. The suite was a true suite, two complete rooms connected by a hall with a bathroom. Beautiful city view from extensive wall of windows. Just like home as far as comfort. A little more expensive than the others, but oh so worth it. If you want to splurge and do something special for yourself, spend a night at this place. The employees were all great, especially the female valet when we dropped the car off.
